Morning 6-Pack - Why I miss old-school college chaos (wellness darties are soft)

Published on: 18th September, 2026

College partying is changing — I'm seeing this new trend called a "wellness darty" where daytime parties are now Pilates, yoga, ice baths, group runs and matcha instead of kegstands. I call it a health insurance brochure with a playlist, and honestly it feels like kids are trading chaos for stretches and smoothies. So we busted out the Morning 6-Pack and counted down the top six old-school college experiences these wellness darties are quietly killing. Think bonding over holding a buddy’s hair during a puke-fest, racking up gloriously embarrassing nicknames, and those social posts that make you briefly unemployable — yeah, we cover that stuff. We save the worst, dumbest finale for last (no spoilers here), and serve it up fast with sarcasm, jokes, and zero patience for too-much-clean living.

Takeaways:

  • I roast wellness darties—Pilates, yoga, ice baths, matcha—like frat bros turned wellness influencers, lol.
  • We call out this trend at legit party schools—Florida State, Miami, Alabama—where mornings used to mean kegs.
  • I respect being healthy, but we miss the chaotic, messy college stuff you only survive when you're twenty.
  • We run through missing classics: holding a friend's hair while she vomits, dumb nickname traditions, and cringe social posts.
  • I tease the finale without spoiling it—yeah we saved the wildest, absurd old-school prank for number one.

Speaker A:

It's haystack.

Speaker A:

And college partying is apparently changing.

Speaker A:

You know, for years, parents would worry about their kids having too much fun.

Speaker A:

Now, apparently, some parents need to worry that their kids are not having enough fun.

Speaker A:

Based on what I'm seeing here, a new trend called a wellness darty.

Speaker A:

A darty is a daytime party.

Speaker A:

Okay, I'm all right with that.

Speaker A:

Normally, you know, a daytime party means music and some drinks, maybe a lawn full of people making poor decisions before dinner.

Speaker A:

But a wellness darty, Pilates, yoga, a group run, some ice baths, and then a coffee or matcha.

Speaker A:

That's not a party.

Speaker A:

That's a health insurance brochure with a playlist.

Speaker A:

And it's happening at real party schools.

Speaker A:

They're being reported at Florida State, Miami, Alabama.

Speaker A:

So now you can walk past fraternity row and instead of seeing someone do a keg stand, you might see six guys in matching shorts discussing electrolytes.

Speaker A:

I've not been down on Arkansas Avenue lately.

Speaker A:

I can't imagine.

Speaker A:

Well, oh, it probably is happening.

Speaker A:

I have to check in with some friends that are closer to campus and see if they've heard about it.

Speaker A:

I do respect it, though.

Speaker A:

You think about it, it's.

Speaker A:

It's objectively healthier.

Speaker A:

But college is supposed to have at least a little bit of chaos.

Speaker A:

I mean, you're 20 years old.

Speaker A:

This is the.

Speaker A:

This is one phase of life where your knees work, your metabolism is essentially undefeated, and you can survive terrible decisions.

Speaker A:

You get plenty of time later to become obsessed with inflammation.

Speaker A:

I mean, this is just so lame.

Speaker A:

Maybe some of the local college kids will realize just how lame this is when they consider anything from my list of the top six old school college experiences that kids are missing out on with their wellness darty.

Speaker B:

Well, gather round, folks.

Speaker B:

It's the time of day when we laugh and smile in a light hearted way.

Speaker B:

Tune in for the giggles and let's kick back.

Speaker B:

Here comes the fun.

Speaker B:

It's the morning six pack.

Speaker A:

Once again, the top six old school college experiences that kids are missing out on with their wellness darties.

Speaker A:

Coming in at number six, bonding with your best friend by holding her hair back as she pukes in the toilet.

Speaker A:

ty Raid Pete or inmate number:

Speaker A:

Number four, inappropriate social media posts that make you unemployable after you graduate.

Speaker A:

Three, a burning sensation when you pee.

Speaker A:

Number two, flunking out.

Speaker A:

And the number one old school college experience that kids are missing out on with their wellness darties.

Speaker A:

Waking up with a wiener drawn on your forehead.
