Published on: 9th April, 2026

Morning 6-Pack - Space Oddities! Buckle up, folks, 'cause we're blasting off into an out-of-this-world convo about NASA's Artemis program! We're chatting about how this epic mission could turn us into a totally new species—yeah, you heard me right! With plans to build a moon base and the possibility of some serious genetic changes from living on the lunar surface, who knows what we might evolve into? Plus, we’ve got the top six hilarious perks of chilling in outer space, like weightlessness and glowing from radiation (who needs self-tanner, am I right?). So grab your space helmets and get ready for a giggle-filled ride through the cosmos!

Takeaways:

  • NASA's Artemis program is aiming to build a moon base by the 2030s, which is totally out of this world!
  • Living in space might change humans so much that we could become a whole new species, like the moon folk or space buddies!
  • Scott Kelly spent nearly a year in space and came back with some wild genetic changes—talk about a cosmic makeover!
  • Radiation on the moon could actually lead to future humans evolving differently, like we’re all just a bunch of science experiments!
  • You can’t be fat when you’re weightless in space—finally, a diet plan that’s really out of this world!
  • In space, annoying robots can be turned off, unlike your husband after a long day—good luck with that one!

Speaker A:

It's haystack.

Speaker A:

And NASA's Artemis program has taken us back to the moon, back around the moon, and could actually in some ways change humans so much that we would create a whole new branch of our species.

Speaker A:

Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin first stepped on the moon and it changed history.

Speaker A:

will build a moon base in the:

Speaker A:

And they want to use lunar soil and frozen water to support long term life.

Speaker A:

But kind of gets wild because living in space changes a human being.

Speaker A:

Astronaut Scott Kelly lived in space for almost a year.

Speaker A:

And when he came back, he showed major biological shifts, even changes to his genetics, his genes.

Speaker A:

So on top of that, there's higher levels of radiation on the moon, which we could pass down to our future generations.

Speaker A:

And so over time, humans could evolve differently, just like animals evolve differently when isolated on isolated islands.

Speaker A:

And eventually those differences could be big enough to create an entirely new human species.

Speaker A:

What would we call moon people?

Speaker A:

Space folk.

Speaker A:

If that's not enough to convince you to hitch a ride on the next rocket to the upper atmosphere, maybe one of these great things about living in outer space will convince you to do so.

Speaker B:

Well, gather round folks.

Speaker B:

It's the time of day when we laugh and smile in a light hearted way.

Speaker B:

Tuning for the giggles and let's kick back.

Speaker B:

Here comes the fun.

Speaker B:

It's the morning six.

Speaker A:

Pack.

Speaker A:

These are the top six great things about living in outer space.

Speaker A:

Number six, you can be, you cannot be fat when you're weightless.

Speaker A:

You can't be fat when you're weightless.

Speaker A:

Number five, unlike your husband, when a robot gets annoying, you can turn it off.

Speaker A:

Number four, why waste money on self tanner when you can glow naturally thanks to intense radiation?

Speaker A:

Three, if you miss the toilet, the whole family can enjoy a fun game of Dodge the floater.

Speaker A:

2.

Speaker A:

Speaking of that, remember in space nobody can hear you scream, so your neighbors can't judge your parenting.

Speaker A:

And the number one great thing about living in outer space, Alien girls have three lady lumps.

Speaker A:

Breast.

Speaker A:

Yeah, Total recall.
