We’re kickin’ things off against Hawaii, who just crashed the party after a decade-long hiatus. Can you say scrappy? It's gonna be a wild ride! If we make it past those Rainbow Warriors, we might just have a showdown with Wisconsin, a team with a chip on their shoulder after crushing Coach Cal’s perfect season back in the day. And don’t even get me started on all the crazy facts about this tournament—like how the office bracket pool champ might just be that one co-worker who picks teams based on their jerseys! It is of course March Madness season and Arkansas moves into the NCAA Tournament as the number four seed in the West Region under head coach John Calipari.

Speaker A:

His second season and we open up against Hawaii.

Speaker A:

The Rainbow warriors earned their bid by winning the Big West Tournament and it's their first appearance in the tournament in a decade.

Speaker A:

So we should knock on wood be able to handle this matchup.

Speaker A:

But Hawaii is a very up tempo guard heavy style so it could be scrappy for us.

Speaker A:

We can't overlook.

Speaker A:

And if we get past Hawaii, it sets a potential second round fight with number five Wisconsin.

That team went into the final 4:38 and oh and got beat by Wisconsin.

Cost them a title shot.

So Wisconsin was able to spoil California.

So now in his second year he could possibly get revenge against the Badgers.

But Wisconsin has one of the best front courts in the country, so that will not be easy either for sure.

And the West Region is loaded with some traditionally powerful teams like the big mid major Gonzaga that everyone knows about.

Purdue is the number two seed and the top seed in the West Region.

Arizona is thought by many to be the one expected to win it all.

So we've got a lot of work to do if we're going to make it into the into the final rounds of the NCAA tournament.

The West Regional takes kicks off in Portland, Oregon.

So we've got to go to Portland, Oregon where we play on a Thursday instead of a Friday.

It's easier for me to list the one TV channel that you won't see basketball on, and that is Univision.

Number three, no matter how much time you spend filling out your bracket, that old lady in accounting who picks teams based on uniform colors is still going to win the office pool.

Number two, any Russian who does a better job filling out a bracket than Vladimir Putin accidentally falls out of a window.

Traditional basketball powers include Indiana, Kentucky and Kansas.
