Super Bowl commercials ain’t what they used to be, and we’re diving headfirst into that hot mess! If you’ve ever found yourself grumbling about how the ads just aren’t funny anymore, you’re not alone—your older pals might be stuck in the past, thinking those classic Budweiser lizards were the peak of comedy! But guess what? It’s not that the jokes have gone stale; it's just that advertisers are vibing with a younger crowd now, and our older friends are missing the punchline. Good morning and taste act yesterday, of course, the Super Bowl.
Speaker B:And a lot of people watch the super bowl for the commercials as opposed to the game.
Speaker B:I mean, the game wasn't really all that exhilarating yesterday.
Speaker B:But one of the things I've noticed over the last several years, my friend group and I have a very eclectic friend group.
Speaker B:I mean, there are, there are people usually at my gatherings anywhere from 19, 20 years old through 60 years old.
Speaker B:Right.
Speaker B:But one of the thing things I've noticed is it tends to be that my older friends, when we watch the super bowl, they're always complaining that the commercials aren't funny anymore.
Speaker B:And I had to explain to them it's not that they're not funny anymore, they're just not funny to you because advertisers are trying to reach a younger demographic and they kind of look, they kind of looked at me with a lopsided head that he really understand.
Speaker B:So I've actually put together a little program to try to help these folks.
