Alabama Bama - Lettuce Conspiracies and Jerky Diets!

Published on: 22nd July, 2026

Alabama Bama is back on the line, and let me tell ya, things are gettin’ downright wild! This week, she’s convinced that veggies are out to get her—yup, you heard that right. Bama's got a whole conspiracy theory about how Big Salad is plotting against the good folks of Alabama, and it’s a hoot! Between her questionable diet of fruit roll-ups and beef jerky (40% alcohol, y’all), we can't help but laugh as she gears up for a wet T-shirt contest and contemplates if maybe—just maybe—lettuce could help her fit into her “fighting weight.” Spoiler alert: Bama’s ideas about health are as sketchy as her life choices, and Haystack’s just trying to keep it together. Buckle up for some giggles and nonsensical banter that’ll have you shaking your head and chuckling all morning!

Takeaways:

  • Bama believes veggies are out to get us, and she's not holding back on her beef jerky love.
  • The only greens Bama trusts are the ones in her cocktails, and we can't blame her!
  • Wet T-shirt contests and questionable diets? Bama's got a wild weekend planned, y'all!
  • Forget Big Salad, Bama's convinced there's a lettuce conspiracy lurking in the shadows.
  • Bama's health strategy involves fruit roll-ups and a dash of sarcasm—classic Alabama Bama!
  • Haystack tries to steer Bama away from suspicious produce, but she’s got her own plans!

Speaker A:

Good morning.

Speaker A:

It's Haystack.

Speaker A:

It's time for what's probably my favorite time of the week when we chat with my dear long lost friend Bama down in rural Alabama.

Speaker A:

She joins us on the phone now.

Speaker A:

And Bama, have you seen this thing where these people are getting sick from?

Speaker A:

Looks like contaminated vegetables, actually.

Speaker B:

Oh, I seen it, Haystack.

Speaker B:

And I knew that vegetables was evil all along.

Speaker A:

Now, Bama, I don't think that's the takeaway.

Speaker B:

Oh, that's my takeaway.

Speaker B:

That's exactly why I stick to a strict diet of fruit roll ups, beef jerky and anything.

Speaker B:

It's at least 40% alcohol by volume.

Speaker A:

That's.

Speaker A:

That's not exactly the food pyramid.

Speaker B:

Well, yeah, look at me.

Speaker B:

I'm just as healthy as a horse.

Speaker A:

Yeah, sure you are.

Speaker B:

All right, all right.

Speaker B:

A horse that coughs up a nicotine milkshake every morning.

Speaker B:

Yeah,.

Speaker A:

That's.

Speaker A:

That's a little more accurate.

Speaker B:

Every time somebody tells me to eat more greens, something like this happens.

Speaker B:

Romaine, lettuce, spinach, cucumbers.

Speaker B:

They keep trying to kill us, Haystack.

Speaker A:

Now, I don't think vegetables are plotting against anybody, Bama.

Speaker B:

Well, that's exactly what Big Salad wants you to think.

Speaker A:

Wait a minute, Big Salad.

Speaker B:

Follow the ranch, Haystack.

Speaker A:

I don't think there's a lettuce conspiracy.

Speaker B:

You bleed what you want to.

Speaker B:

Meanwhile, my beef jerky has never recalled me.

Speaker A:

Okay, fair enough, Bama.

Speaker A:

Fair enough.

Speaker A:

So what's on your schedule for the weekend?

Speaker B:

Well.

Speaker B:

Well, as much as I've been bad mouthing vegetables.

Speaker A:

Yeah?

Speaker B:

I do have a wet T shirt contest on Saturday and I've been wondering if just one little bit of lettuce might help me get down to my fighting weight.

Speaker A:

Oh, now, Bama, that's not really a weight loss strategy.

Speaker B:

Well, neither was my last one, and it worked about the same.

Speaker A:

Well, good for you.

Speaker A:

Maybe.

Speaker A:

Stay away from questionable produce, okay?

Speaker A:

Don't go trying to get sick.

Speaker B:

Alright, fine.

Speaker B:

I'll stick to questionable life choices instead.

Speaker B:

Thanks for calling, Haystack.

Speaker B:

We'll talk to you next week.

Speaker B:

Y' all have a good day.
