Speaker A:

Good morning.

Speaker A:

It's haystack.

Speaker A:

And a new major study says it doesn't matter about your activity level when it comes to weight issues.

Speaker A:

All that matters is what you eat, how much you eat.

Speaker A:

The obesity crisis has nothing to do with sitting too much.

Speaker A:

According to this major study, it's all about eating too much food and ultra processed foods.

Speaker A:

So they're saying if you have a weight problem, it's not a treadmill problem, it's plate and fork problem.

Speaker A:

Poor sleep, elevated stress hormones, that is a triple threat.

Speaker A:

That forces your body to crave sugar, so you're tired, you binge on carbs to try to get energy.

Speaker A:

New guidelines reinforce that plant based and fiber rich foods.

Speaker A:

Beans and lentils and nuts are the key to a healthy weight.

Speaker A:

Cutting down on red meat and sugar and ultra processed snacks.

Speaker A:

The bottom line is you cannot outrun a bad diet.

Speaker A:

Improving your fork, what's on your fork will beat logging miles on the treadmill every single time.

Speaker A:

Now we're just talking about weight and I'm not a nutritionist, I'm a fat boy.

Speaker A:

But I can tell you from experience, I did not change my activity level at all when I was north of £450, we'll say that.

Speaker A:

And I lost well over £100 by simply just not eating so poorly.

Speaker A:

So it's, I mean, I have firsthand experience in knowing that there's to some degree, at least some truth about this.

Speaker A:

But it's always hard to eat well, especially in America where we are so obsessed with food.

Speaker A:

In fact, it was just announced that Krispy Kreme and Crocs are teaming up to create a limited edition Krispy Kreme Crocs classic clog.

Speaker A:

Close quote.

Speaker A:

Which is of course great news for all six Krispy Kreme customers who can see their feet.
