Morning 6-Pack - Six cringe moves that scream 'narcissist'

Published on: 31st August, 2026

Please stop calling everyone a narcissist — I read that Psychology Today post and I said amen. I point out how real narcissism and real emotional abuse are serious, but that calling every annoying person a narcissist just drains the word of meaning. So we hit it fast with a Morning 6-Pack: six snarky signs you might actually be a narcissist, delivered quick, loud, and kinda ridiculous. We roast selfie obsessions, the “like your own posts” flex, and other red flags, but I don’t give away the final punchline — you gotta hear it. It’s funny, a little savage, and perfect if you wanna giggle while maybe doing a tiny self-check before the group chat does it for you.

Takeaways:

  • I rant that slapping "narcissist" on every annoying person online just ruins the word.
  • We admit real narcissistic personality disorder and emotional abuse are serious, not just TikTok labels.
  • I push listeners to ask better questions — like what happened, what's the pattern, what boundaries are needed.
  • Our Morning 6-Pack dishes up goofy signs: mirror obsession, saving for frosted tips over kid lunches, front-camera-only vibes.
  • We roast people who think every karaoke night is a personal standing ovation for their performance, classic ego move.
  • The countdown wraps with a cheeky, meta radio-host zinger instead of a clinical diagnosis, so don't take it literal.

What's going on?

Speaker A:

It's Haystack.

Speaker A:

I saw this blog post on the website of Psychology Today and it says please stop calling everyone a narcissist.

Speaker A:

And I said amen.

Speaker A:

I think it's great advice because the, the Internet and every girl I've ever talked to has turned the word narcissist into just like the word jerk.

Speaker A:

Oh, your ex didn't text back.

Speaker A:

Clearly a narcissist.

Speaker A:

Your boss likes to hear himself talk.

Speaker A:

Narcissist.

Speaker A:

Your sister in Law posted 14 vacation selfies with the caption healing era.

Speaker A:

Yeah, narcissist with a ring light.

Speaker A:

So look, real narcissistic personality disorder exists.

Speaker A:

It's a real thing.

Speaker A:

Real emotional abuse exists.

Speaker A:

Real manipulation exists.

Speaker A:

Nobody's saying that those words don't matter or that those things aren't real.

Speaker A:

But now everybody with a phone and three therapy TikToks think they are qualified to diagnose the entire family.

Speaker A:

Group chat.

Speaker A:

And it's just not right.

Speaker A:

I mean, sometimes a person is not a narcissist.

Speaker A:

Sometimes they're just simply selfish or immature or insecure or bad about apologizing or your ex.

Speaker A:

And so they're being filtered through rage and screenshots.

Speaker A:

But when every difficult person becomes a narcissist, that word stops helping.

Speaker A:

I mean, it may give you a label, but it, it also can stop you from asking better questions like what happened?

Speaker A:

What's the pattern?

Speaker A:

What boundaries do I need?

Speaker A:

What behavior was the actual problem?

Speaker A:

Narcissist.

Speaker A:

The word matters more when it's used carefully because if it describes every selfish person, it stops describing anything specific at all.

Speaker A:

So please stop just casually throwing around the N word.

Speaker A:

And if you've been called a narcissist by an example or by somebody else and you're wondering if maybe you are a narcissist and you're not sure.

Speaker A:

I'm here to help you with a super simple list of the top six signs you're a narcissist.

Speaker B:

Well, gather round folks.

Speaker B:

It's the time of day when we laugh and smile in a light hearted way.

Speaker B:

Tune in for the giggles and let's kick back.

Speaker B:

Here comes the fun.

Speaker B:

It's the morning six pack.

Speaker A:

The top six signs that you are a narcissist.

Speaker A:

Number six, you can't ride the white horse because you always get distracted looking at yourself in the mirror.

Speaker A:

Speaker A:

Speaker A:

And the number one sign that you're clearly a narcissist.

Speaker A:

Every morning, you go on and on about your opinions and then say some random radio station name into a microphone and play some commercials.

Speaker A:

Hey, wait a minute.
