Speaker A:

It's haystack.

Speaker A:

And if you've ever seen a news story where karma doesn't really just show up, but it clocks in early, it arrives.

Speaker A:

This happened in Maryland, where a 29 year old man has been caught while burglarizing.

Speaker A:

Allegedly burglarizing a Verizon store while he's allegedly doing that.

Speaker A:

Someone stole his car across the street.

Speaker A:

I've got body cam audio, and I'll say that I have modified this and that I've run it through some fancy cleanup processes to get rid of some of the road noise and make it a little bit easier to hear.

Speaker B:

All right, let me just see your hands real quick.

Speaker B:

Okay, Put your hands around your back for me.

Speaker B:

For what?

Speaker B:

Were you at that Verizon store?

Speaker B:

Because you got blood on your hands and blood on your glasses.

Speaker B:

I wasn't at no Verizon, so.

Speaker B:

Sir, I promise to God.

Speaker B:

Have a seat real quick.

Speaker B:

Hold on.

Speaker B:

You got blood on your shirt.

Speaker B:

So the gig's up.

Speaker B:

It's whether you want to be honest about stuff or not.

Speaker B:

You know what I mean?

Speaker B:

Do.

Speaker B:

Someone stole my chocolate.

Speaker B:

Oh, my God.

Speaker B:

That's kind of some karma right there, ain't it?

Speaker B:

Well, I left.

Speaker B:

Well, I left peas in.

Speaker B:

Yeah, that's some karma right there.

Speaker B:

Dude.

Speaker A:

That's pretty bad.

Speaker A:

First of all, karma normally takes years.

Speaker A:

Like, you Mess up in:

Speaker A:

This guy, again, allegedly.

Speaker A:

Don't sue me.

Speaker A:

This guy breaks into a Verizon store and karma says, no, no, no, I'm right outside.

Speaker A:

And the police were responding to his stolen vehicle report.

Speaker A:

Can you.

Speaker A:

Can you imagine that?

Speaker B:

Hello?

Speaker A:

911.

Speaker A:

Someone stole my car.

Speaker A:

Okay, sir, where are you?

Speaker A:

I'm across from Verizon.

Speaker A:

Were you shopping?

Speaker A:

Well, yeah, but not with a receipt.

Speaker A:

Minutes later, police get the call about the burglary at the Verizon across the street.

Speaker A:

And so then, as you heard in the audio, they kind of detect the dots.

Speaker A:

There's blood on the broken Verizon window, and then there's blood on the guy's glasses, hands, and shirt.

Speaker A:

So to be fair, they didn't really have to solve some crazy mystery.

Speaker A:

It kind of solved itself.

Speaker A:

This isn't csi.

Speaker A:

It's just follow the red Sharpie.

Speaker A:

The police officer asks to see the guy's hands.

Speaker A:

That's not a good sign.

Speaker A:

Anytime a cop says, let me see your hands, it's.

Speaker A:

It's trouble.

Speaker A:

And according to the report, he keeps denying that he was the Verizon store sir, you have Verizon on you, and I love that.

Speaker A:

The police officer says, that's some karma right there, dude.

Speaker A:

It's another way you know it's bad when the police stop sounding like law enforcement and start sounding like your disappointed cousin.

Speaker A:

That's some karma right there, dude.

Speaker A:

What?

Speaker A:

Not sir, not suspect, just dude.

Speaker A:

Which is universal language for you.

Speaker A:

Done messed up.

Speaker A:

And poor Verizon.

Speaker A:

They.

Speaker A:

They thought the worst thing they ever had to deal with was someone asking why their phone bill was $300.

Speaker A:

And now they've got burglary, a stolen car, surveillance footage, body cam, a cop delivering the moral of the story in real time.

Speaker A:

Look, this is why you do not commit crime across the street from where your car is.

Speaker A:

Or maybe just don't commit crime at all, because karma is getting faster.

Speaker A:

It used to be spiritual.

Speaker A:

Now it is same day delivery.

Speaker A:

This guy tried to steal from Verizon, and karma said, can you hear me now?
